The Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies’ Mule Deer Working Group and the Oregon Chapter of The Wildlife Society will host a migration analysis workshop led by the Wyoming Migration Initiative, who have developed new approaches to apply migration research to real-world corridor management and conservation. The workshop is intended for state and federal wildlife practitioners who seek to better understand and identify the spatial and temporal characteristics of wildlife movement to improve management and policy affecting wildlife. The full day workshop is by invitation to Oregon, California, Nevada, and Washington staff. Limited spots are available.

What to bring: GPS collar data as an ArcGIS shapefile and a Windows Laptop with ArcGIS. More info on data prep will be provided to confirmed attendees Lunch will be provided by the Oregon Chapter of the Wildlife Society.

Cost and Travel Assistance: $75 per person (includes lunch). A limited number of travel awards are available for participants in need. Contact Josh for more info. Lunch menu will be sent out two weeks prior to event.
